Our ‘At home’ service.
As well as on site in St Ives, we also offer a private service, where, in the comfort of your own home or holiday home in Cornwall, you can enjoy a cookery course exploring new techniques and flavours followed by lunch. All courses will be designed around how to create a 3 course meal. With special consideration given to flavour profiles, but also that of timings, so that the dishes we put together are achievable together.
A typical ‘At home’ day…
10am
Morning briefing with coffee and pastries, or if you prefer with some late morning bubbles. We will go over the menu we will be enjoying for lunch, a plan on how we go through the day’s prep and some key points on the ingredient sourcing.
10:30am
Initial prep for lunch begins. Usually tackling some of the jobs that take some resting or proving. Whether that be bread for lunch, a pasta dough or Madeleine batter, ensuring they are ready in time for the afternoon.
11:30am
After clearing down from the initial bakery prep we then go into some more in depth menu prep. This hour will form the base for lunch, will include preparing the vegetables, fish or meat that we will require to cook with later.
12:30pm
At this point we will enjoy a 15 minute break with, if requested, a nice glass of wine whilst the kitchen is cleaned down ready to cook the dishes we will be enjoying.
12:45pm
This will be our main session of cooking ready for lunch. We will be putting together all of the dishes, finishing the baking and garnishes ready for an excellent meal to follow.
2pm
Lunch begins. We all sit down and enjoy a 3 course meal that has been prepared by yourself. Learning tips on ‘meal curation’ and how restaurants set up tables and atmosphere.

Courses usually take 3 to 4 hours, giving us plenty of time to create restaurant quality food. Thus making a 10am lesson finish in good time for lunch and a 3pm lesson finish in good time for supper.
-
Absolutely! When booking just put some things down you really want to get better at, things like pasta for example and we can write the menu accordingly.
-
This is totally fine. The menu will be such to accommodate any allergies. However serious allergies, such as nuts, will be removed from the entire menu to minimise the risk of contamination.
-
No, upon booking we only ask for a 50% deposit, this is however non refundable. Due only to the fact a lot of our bookings are very much secured in advance and we may find it hard to re sell a date upon short notice.
-
Dont worry, we are not super strict with timings and can wait a little while for the entire party. But ideally everyone needs to be together so the meal is completed at the same time.
-
We need 48 hours notice to increase the size of a booking to allow us to gather the right amount of ingredients and make sure you have enough food for the main meal.
-
Yes, absolutely. We can pair each dish with a wine pairing and explanation for all three courses for £20pp. This also includes a glass of fizz at the start of the class.
